In response to demographic changes and rising healthcare demands, Taiwan has launched the "Healthy Taiwan Deep Cultivation Plan." To showcase these efforts on an international stage, the global medical informatics conference, MedInfo 2025, will be held in Taipei (August 9-13). Co-organized by the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and the Taiwan Association of Medical Informatics (TAMI), this event brings together diverse knowledge from academic research, clinical practice, and policy recommendations. The theme is "Healthcare Smart X Medicine Deep," focusing on AI and digital transformation. Key highlights include the participation of internationally recognized experts, such as co-chairmen of LOINC standards and FHIR Foundation Chairs. Sessions are planned to share insights on applying major medical informatics standards like FHIR and SNOMED CT, and integrating AI with medical data standards. This provides a crucial opportunity for Taiwan to demonstrate its international contribution in digital health. Through this hosting, Taiwan aims to solidify its position as a hub for digital health in the Asia-Pacific region, promoting global interoperability of health information.
