Biomedica Passes Dual IHE International Connectathon, Demonstrating AI Healthcare Data Exchange Capability

On October 24th, Biomedica participated in the Asia-Pacific IHE Connectathon 2025 held in Tokyo. The company successfully passed two international interoperability tests: DICOM SWF (Scheduled Workflow) and FHIR MHD (Mobile Access to Health Documents). This achievement proves that the system possesses high integration capability and adherence to global standards. The significance lies in the testing being conducted within the framework of IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise), a major standard for healthcare interoperability. FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is a key data exchange standard for modern EHRs, and MHD addresses the specific use case of accessing medical documents in mobile environments. Furthermore, DICOM SWF standardizes the medical imaging workflow, which is crucial for advanced modern systems incorporating AI-assisted diagnosis or image processing. This success indicates that Taiwan's bio-medical and IT sector has reached a high level of capability to achieve data linkage using international standards (IHE), combining advanced AI utilization with smart healthcare information.
