Farun showcases AI x 5G for the future of healthcare: Evolution from emergency care to long-term care

In connection with the '2025 Taiwan Medical Technology Exhibition' held at Amita, Farun will exhibit under the theme of 'A New Era of Smart Healthcare: AI x 5G Opens Up Comprehensive Care for All Ages,' in collaboration with Yadtong Hospital. The exhibition features comprehensive care outcomes spanning various age groups, including telemedicine, Cloud HIS (Cloud Electronic Health Record System), FHIR data exchange, video consultations, home healthcare, and emergency rescue. Since 2020, Farun has established a track record of providing Taiwan's first rural 5G remote medical consultation service, expanding it to cover emergency rescue, long-term care, and health counseling. This year, the company won the telecommunications industry's first 'Taiwan Excellence Silver Award' for its 5G remote consultation platform. To enhance primary healthcare capacity, Farun independently developed Cloud HIS and integrated it with the 5G remote consultation platform and the 'Health Health+ App.' This system integrates functions such as virtual health cards, FHIR data exchange, video consultations, and online payments. Since launching video consultations in 2024, over 300 medical institutions have joined, establishing more than 520 virtual clinics. In terms of AI applications, Farun has implemented an 'AI Retinopathy Prevention Mechanism,' achieving a screening accuracy exceeding 95%, which is deployed in rural and island areas. Furthermore, in cooperation with Changji Hospital, the company introduced generative AI for electronic medical record review to improve consistency and efficiency. For the National Health Institute, they also provide an AI agent named 'Health Little Manager' for elderly health management and emergency support. Regarding sustainability and security, Farun utilizes EMS energy management and digital twins to assist hospitals with energy saving and carbon reduction, while strengthening medical safety by implementing Zero Trust Architecture, endpoint protection, and disaster recovery mechanisms. Farun stated that it will continue promoting the smart healthcare ecosystem through AI x 5G x Cloud to improve Taiwan's overall medical resilience.
