Details

DaTong Medical Care partnered with DaTong World Technology (8099) and secured the 'Best Technical Innovation Award' at the 1st International FHIR Server Efficiency Competition, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare Information Department. This competition was globally first, aiming to improve medical data exchange efficiency. The team achieved 'millisecond-level' response speeds through deep optimization of the underlying architecture, successfully building a digital high-speed road for national-level medical data access and AI applications, as emphasized by the Director of the Information Department. According to Zhang Zhiwei, General Manager of DaTong Medical Care, successful FHIR implementation requires rich medical data, hardware ecosystem chains, and software application deployment. The company's over 30 years of experience in developing medical information systems represents a crucial 'knowledge asset' for completing the FHIR ecosystem puzzle. Proven track record includes undertaking the 'FHIR Server Licensing Service' project for National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH). This successfully helped NTUH, Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital, and Min Sheng Hospital establish cross-hospital data interconnection mechanisms compliant with international standards, which has been fully verified. Furthermore, DaTong Medical Care addresses public health policies beyond large medical institutions, offering applications such as major illness data exchange, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data storage, electronic prescriptions, and pre-screening for cancer drugs. They also developed an automatic reporting system for infectious disease cases connecting with the CDC. The company plans to continue supporting smart healthcare transformation, aiming to achieve safe and rapid sharing of water pollution records and various medical information under national standards.
