The 50 selected apps cover a wide range of fields, including medical AI (e.g., fundus image reading), clinical decision support, and administrative management. Crucially, the effort goes beyond mere standardization by providing 'FHIR Box,' a common platform. This system builds a data conversion layer and application execution environment over existing hospital systems (HIS). This aims to unify data into FHIR format across different hospitals, creating an 'inter-hospital shared ecosystem.' This initiative seeks not only to introduce technical standards but also to transform the role of healthcare IT from mere 'system maintainers' to 'application value creators,' establishing a subscription-based data economy (the THAS market).
