Da Tong Medical Care and Industrial Technology Research Institute Partner to Advance AI-Powered Home Healthcare

Da Tong Medical Care has launched a new initiative through its partnership with ITRI, focusing on smart healthcare and home care. The collaboration centers on three main pillars: 'data standardization,' 'AI clinical application,' and 'home healthcare.' Specifically, Da Tong Medical Care will lead the standardization of international medical data using FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource) and cross-system integration. Meanwhile, ITRI will utilize its AI medical integration platform, 'MedBobi 2.0,' to introduce multi-modal AI technology for developing clinical decision support applications. The two companies are leveraging a Living Lab verification mechanism to build applicable and reproducible application models through testing in actual medical settings. This process starts in ITRI's hospital Living Lab and expands through outpatient clinics, inpatient stays, emergency procedures, extending into home healthcare and remote care, aiming for a complete 'hospital-to-home' care system. By integrating FHIR ONE (from Da Tong) and MedBobi 2.0 (from ITRI), medical data can be connected and returned to the clinical end in real time. This partnership is expected to expand to regional hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community care systems, enhancing service quality and promoting a patient-centered model.
