The 'Intelligent Provider Order Entry System (APOE)', developed and demonstrated by Yuan-Rong Hospital, utilizes artificial intelligence to identify diverse consultation inputs in real time, including Chinese, Taiwanese Hokkien, and English. The system can generate a draft medical record within 30 seconds, which is then incorporated into the official medical record after physician review. Through practical operation in hospital settings and surgical outpatient clinics, the system has accumulated over 5,000 patient records, reporting an average reduction of about 60% in time spent by physicians on documentation and consultation recording. APOE not only assists with documentation but also aids in organizing consultation content and providing clinical suggestions, thereby enhancing the quality of care. Furthermore, the system integrates international medical information standards such as FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED CT, and RxNorm, aligning with the Ministry of Health and Welfare's push for Smart on FHIR applications.
